It is really not easy to write a song, it is actually not easy to produce a music and it is literally not easy to mix and match the beats with the lyrics and bring out the best, to bring every little and big thing in effect the only things one should do is practice and hard work.
What do you listen on your iPods, mobile phones, laptops or speakers? Yes, It is a fully prepared song. Many of us love to listen songs to change our mood and many of us love to hear a specific type of music i.e sad, love, energetic and many more. But has anyone ever tried to think that how these songs are being prepared? What’s the story/message the singer wants to give through the lyrics?
In this article we are going to know about a R&b singer and songwriter Miss Lyric’s journey in her own words.
I started performing when I was 4 years old. I sang on stage for the first time at my mothers school for Mother’s Day. I joined ballet at the age of 6. That was the first time I realized I wanted to be a singer. At 10 years old, I auditioned for the Children’s City Choir and by 11 years old I was in. We performed everywhere. This was the first time I got to perform with a world renowned Symphony Orchestra.
I was in the Children’s Choir for 3 years until finally I left to join a after school performing arts program. There, I really worked on my craft. We focused on singing, dancing, and acting. I left after a year. Then at 15 years old, I started posting covers on YouTube. I didn’t get many hits at first but I kept working on it. I loved making videos on YouTube. That’s when I really discovered my passion for singing and performing. Eventually I got recognized by people like Baby Face and Sevyn Streeter which was really exciting for me. I signed to a talent agency in 2017. They helped me get jobs working with big apps on social media including a few different live-streaming jobs. I started posting videos on TikTok recently (@missyric__) and I’m tapping into the makeup industry a little bit more now. My videos have gotten nearly a million views collectively on TikTok and still growing.
FIRST SONG
I released my first song in 2016. It was called “Arabella (Lovely and Elegant) dedicated to my late cousin.
RECENT SONG
The last track I released is called “Good For Now”. It was released on December 1,2019. I am currently working on my second EP coming out in the next few months. I have been working heavily on growing my social media and collaborating with other creators
