Hollywood actor and Oscar-winning filmmaker, Mel Gibson was tested positive for the coronavirus in April. He was immediately hospitalized for almost a week; he has now recovered.
While the world is under the tight grip of the virus it is getting more and more difficult to stay safe. Despite strict laws and safety precautions, the virus makes its place. Presently, in the US there are more than four million coronavirus cases.
Many celebrities all around the world have got into the grip of the virus. Some celebrities have kept the news private however, some celebrities have shared the news with their fans. The first celebrity couple to share the news of being COVID-19 positive were Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson. Unlike, Mel Gibson who did not wish to share the news with his fans.
Gibson kept the news of his coronavirus diagnosis and hospitalization private. Earlier this month, he was seen in the US with his partner, Rosalind Ross. Both of them were seen taking precautionary measures as they were wearing surgical masks.
Gibson’s representative told Daily Telegraph, “He tested positive in April and spent a week in the hospital. The spokesperson added, “He was treated with the drug Remdesivir, while in the hospital, and has tested negative numerous times since then as well as positive for the antibodies.”
