The scope of the Coronavirus epidemic is increasing in Maharashtra. On Thursday alone, 162 COVID-19 positive patients have come out from different parts of the state. With this, the total number of corona positive cases in the state has increased to 1297. Maharashtra had the highest number of 150 positive cases in a single day on Tuesday.

The death toll due to Coronavirus in the country’s financial capital Mumbai increased to 45 with five new deaths on Wednesday. Officials include four women among the dead, one of whom was 85 years old, who is the oldest deceased till date. While the other three dead women were aged 46, 54, 59 years respectively.

In comparison to other parts of the state, the number of corona patients has increased rapidly since the beginning in Mumbai. In Mumbai, more than 100 new cases of infection are coming out every day for the last 2-3 days. While the number of dead here is the highest in the country. On the other hand, the number of infected reached 166 in the Pune Municipal Corporation by 6 pm on Wednesday and so far ten people have died.

Even in Maharashtra, the Tablighi Jamaat program in Delhi has shown its impact. Till Tuesday, 23 new cases related to Jamaat were found in the state. All participated in the Tabligi Jamaat program in the national capital last month. It has eight from Latur,
