Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi had surprised everyone by introducing its first foldable display smartphone Mi Mix Alpha 5G concept phone. This smartphone is the world’s first smartphone to come with a wrapping display panel. Its special thing is that its front and back panels have the entire display leaving only one horizontal line. Now, Xiaomi is preparing to launch another smartphone with its new technology.
Under-screen selfie camera technology can be used in this smartphone. Also, this smartphone can come with a waterfall display panel. This futuristic design of the Chinese company can be introduced soon. Information about this has come from the leaking of a patent of the company.
Xiaomi had submitted the patent for this futuristic design to the Chinese Patent Office CNIPA in September last year. The company wanted to get this patent for a new user interface for this. This patent has been published on 3 April 2020.
Its design has been introduced in the Global Design Database and WIPO’s office. The new user interface is said to be using a waterfall display for this smartphone. It can also be seen with a curved edge display panel, which covers the entire site’s edge.
However, the curved screen of the new patented design is not as bold as the Mi Mix Alpha concept phone. Genera status icons such as battery indicator, network signal etc. can be seen in the curved display of the phone. Also, the media player and other small notification icons can also be seen in the same side-curved display. Chin and Notch are completely missing in the front panel of the phone. It has neither a punch-hole selfie camera nor a pop-up camera, pointing to the fact that under-display selfie camera can be seen. When will this Xiaomi smartphone be introduced, currently no official information has been shared about it.
