President Trump has stated the government shutdown might last for even longer. This happened because the current government and the Leaders of House Democrats couldn’t agree on the mutual terms. The leaders of House of Representatives Democratic Caucus are planning to issue a letter to the President according to which the government needs to set aside dollar 5 million as funds for border security. However, this letter doesn’t address the demand that Trump had put forward. According to him, in order to curb criminal activities, it’s important to build a wall alongside the southern border to which the Leaders of House Democrats didn’t agree.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren has proposed the imposition of a new tax. This new tax is named as the “wealth tax”. This tax will be imposed on the American citizens who have a net worth of $50 million or more. She has proposed this policy in the documents submitted in her presidential campaign. This plan imposes a 2% tax on the household that worth from $50 million to $1 billion. There will be a 3% tax on the households that worth more than $1 billion. This plan has already been run by two economists at the University of California Berkeley. According to them, this tax will impact over 75000 American households.
Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) “Forced Out As A Survivor” From Mental And Physical Abuse
Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) claimed to be a survivor of mental and physical abuse. She told that she had been in a toxic relationship with her former husband, who would torture her mentally as well as physically. She also revealed that she was raped by her boyfriend when she was only a college student. Ernst shared her dark past while addressing the public reporting on her divorce papers. While revealing her story she said “I didn’t want to share it with anybody, and in the era of #MeToo survivors, I believed that every person is different and they will confront their demons when they are ready. And I was not ready.” She claimed that she “forced out as a survivor” from mental and physical abuse.
A Gunman In Florida Killed Over Five Innocent People
A gunman in Florida killed over five innocent people and took shelter at a SunTrust Bank in Sebring, Florida. According to the police, the suspect is 21-year old Zephen Xaver of Sebring, Florida. They said they came to know about the unfortunate incident first when the suspect himself called them. The suspect told the police that he has been hiding in the bank and then he began shooting. The suspect eventually surrendered when the SWAT force intertwined. He was then taken into police custody. Xaver briefly worked at van park correctional institution as a correctional officer trainee. He resigned two weeks before the incident took place.
