Gold prices rose in the UAE and globally on Thursday, helped by a weaker dollar and event-driven exchanging, but prices remained tight as market participants awaited financial data for additional courses.
Spot gold rose 0.27 percent to $1,819.96 per ounce as of 9.25 a.m. UAE time.
In the UAE, the 24K gold price crawled up to Dh220.5 per gramme at the kickoff of the business week on Thursday. In the mean time, 22K, 21K, and 18K opened at Dh204.25, Dh197.5, and Dh169.25 per gram, respectively.
The dollar index fell 0.2 percent, making gold less expensive for holders of various monetary systems.
