Netflix first introduced its unconventional launch time table for Lucifer Season five back in 2019, confirming that the 16-episode season could be reduce in half, with 8 episodes airing in August of 2020. The rest to air at a later, unannounced date.
The midseason finale noticed Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) duke it out with their brother Michael. Just only for God (Dennis Haysbert) to eventually display up after 5 seasons of ghosting his children in order to interrupt up the fight. And heaven assist us, that’s certainly wherein they left us!
There’s no premiere date yet. Netflix has not introduced whilst the second 1/2 of of the season will debut. However TVLine reviews that the collection went back into production to complete filming Season five and begin filming Season 6 in the back half of September.
We’re in all likelihood looking at an early to mid-2021 launch date for Part 2. At least we’ve got the Season four blooper reel to look at whilst we wait?
There can be a musical episode. A full-blown musical episode will kick off the second 1/2 of of Season five. Entertainment Weekly reviews the musical episode might be the 9th episode of the season, titled “Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam.”
