Salman Khan Known With The Tag “Sam” a boy from National Capital New Delhi, Young and Aspiring who always strive to do something new in life. We are talking about India’s First Men’s Category Leg Cricket India Captain Mr. Sam Khan.
The journey started in the year 2012 as a player for the state of New Delhi, and this started in a very unique way. Sam every day went to his nearby park for the physical exercise, one day he has marked few boys playing a very unique sport and it’s never been seen by sam ever before. So he went to those boys and asked them the rule & regulation of that sport. And the journey beings here for the young laid. He started playing Leg Cricket With those boys and started getting better every single day. Sam gave his trail for state team and he got selected.
Sam played very aggressively in his first national tournament which has held at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi on 1st of Feb 2012. Sam second appearance in the national tournament was at Ambala, Haryana where he led the state team and made the side champion. Due to his best performance, he was selected as the Captain of Men’s Side of India Team.
India played their first-ever international championship on 7th of July 2013 at Kathmandu, Nepal and it was Indo-Nepal Series. Where India has sent their Under-19 & Men’s Team. Both the India Captain Chandan Ray & Salman Khan captain of Under-19 & Men’s Team Respectively Both the Duo made India to Won The Title.
After playing a long time Salman thought to appear exam for India Head coach and he got selected for that. Under the guidance of Salman, Khan India has brought laurel for the nation by winning the championship title at Bhutan.
Salman Khan Says – It couldn’t be possible without the guidance & support of Jogender Prasad Verma, Founder, General Secretary of Leg Cricket Federation of India. He has always backed me and gave me the right suggestions whenever I needed. I also thank my family for making me what I am today.
Apart from sport, Salman always loves adventure in his life he loves riding, paragliding and mountain tracking. He had made 4 long rides from New Delhi to Ladakh and he says post lockdown he will love to re-visit Ladakh
Salman says about current Team India is very young and full of talent. Every single individual has the capability to win the match for India. He says post lockdown Team India will resume their practise with the same enthusiasm.
