Mumbai (980 cases) has reported maximum counts of cases followed by Bengaluru (762 cases) and Jaipur (532 cases) during 2016. These numbers are only for those registered one. There is a huge number of Cyber Crime cases that are not reported. And this number is increasing day by day at larger rate.
The high reportage of cybercrime cases coupled with lone and understaffed cybercrime police stations has led to poor disposal rate of such technology involved cases.
