There have been 5 new cases of coronavirus in China, amid the announcement of the launch of classes in schools in China’s commercial centre Shanghai and the re-operation of flights. Two of the five cases are from outside and three are from the northeastern province.
Shanghai opens on the lines of Beijing and other cities
On the lines of Beijing and other cities, Shanghai has also resumed classes for middle and high school students preparing for exams. However, Shanghai also retained the option to continue classes online. Significantly, there have no new deaths of corona infected in Shanghai for the past one month. Here 510 corona infects kept under observation after sighting. With this, 86 corona infected patients are admitted in a hospital.
Around 60 per cent of domestic flights were started
National Health Commission Guo Yanhong told reporters on Saturday that China has the capacity to conduct 10.5 lakh nucleic acid tests per day. The Commission is emphasizing on biosafety, management of laboratories and personnel training. The country’s civil aviation regulator said that domestic flights are also being operated from 1 February. About 60 per cent of domestic flights have been started. Many tourist destinations have reopened with summer vacations. This includes the forbidden City Palace complex in Beijing and the Disneyland Resort in Shanghai. However, compliance with physical distance rules has been made mandatory at these sites.
Mass test in Wuhan
On the other hand, the crowds crowding the test centres of Wuhan, which were the epicentre of the Corona epidemic, have started worrying about people getting infected again. While some people have expressed concern over other facilities, including tests being conducted in the open, many others have supported the government’s campaign. How large-scale tests are being done can be gauged from the fact that 1,13,609 people were tested on Friday, compared to 72,791 the day before.

Lockdown lifted in Wuhan on April 8
Recently, after the corona was confirmed in some infected patients without symptoms, the government decided to conduct a test of all people living in Wuhan. The lockdown was lifted on April 8 here, but as a collective, not much people gather together, the cinema and banquet hall are still closed. So far 82,941 people have been infected in China and 4,633 people have died. Patients without symptoms have not been included in the number of infected patients by the government.
